My name is Ashley Swartzentruber, and I am a Certified Level 1 Regional Coach and a Level 2 Provincial Trained Coach with 19 years of coaching experience. Throughout my coaching career I have coached numerous skaters from CanSkate through to Adult.

I skated competitively for 10 years and achieved my Novice Competitive Dance Test, as well as Gold Skills, Dance and Artistic tests. I attended 3 Junior National Championships with my dance partner, and we had the privilege of attending one international competition.  I graduated from Western University with a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Education, and I skated on their Varsity team for 4 seasons. It is a privilege to work with skaters of all ages.  It is an absolute joy to teach students to skate, watch them grow, and excel within the sport. I love the relationships and sense of community unique to skating clubs. I enjoy sharing my knowledge, passion and love for the sport of figure skating with skaters of all ages and levels.

Hi everyone!

My name is Mikayla Timmermans.  I’m from Mount Brydges and have been skating since I was 2 years old.  I started skating in the Port Stanley Skating Club where I competed in Singles as well as Synchronized Skating. Later I became a member of the Mount Brydges Skating Club as well as continued in Port Stanley.  I have achieved all of my Gold Tests.   I graduated from Western University with a Bachelor in Business, Specializing in Accounting and completed Grad School for Accounting.  I am also a Senior Accountant with MNP in Strathroy.

Skating has always been one of the most important things in my life and I love being a coach so I can share that passion with others as well.  My goal is to teach and inspire our young skaters to continue learning and having fun on the ice.  I have been very fortunate to be a part of the coaching staff at the Mount Brydges, Lucan, and Parkhill Skating Clubs since I began coaching in 2015.  I am a Certified NCCP CanSkate Coach and Regional Coach.  I am very passionate and enthusiastic about continuing to build and grow our club here in Parkhill, as I believe that skating is an amazing component of any community, especially our small towns!

I look forward to an amazing season together!

Mikayla
