Synchronized Skating
Synchronized skating is a specialized part of skating distinct from the other figure skating disciplines. It generally involves a group of 8 or more skaters performing various group formations and maneuvers. ‘Synchronized’ refers to the importance of unison, the accuracy of the formations and the synchronization of the team. A well balanced synchronized skating program contains maneuvers such as circles, lines, blocks, wheels and intersections. The difficulty level of these maneuvers is enhanced by step sequences, free skating moves, holds and transitions incorporated into or between each of these maneuvers during the program.

Synchronized Skating Teams

We are moving into our 3rd year with our synchro program. Last season we had 3 synchro teams: Star 3 (Intro to Synchro), Star 4 (Competitive), and Adult and are very excited to be offering the same teams this season! They performed at the Mount Brydges Gala, Holiday Showcase, and Rising Stars Competition, and our “Around the World” Carnival. Our Star4 team competed at two more events in Baltimore and Oakville, earning a bronze medal and 4th place at these competitions!
Skaters on Stage 3 CanSkate or higher are eligible to join our intro to synchro team!
